Our Favorite Victoria Locations to Get Inspired

Spring is a magical time of year. The quiet of winter is gone, overtaken by the symphony of birds and an explosion of surrounding color. Warmth is in the air, the intoxicating scents of blossoms are abundant and the sweet invitation of the sun is felt touching the skin.

During the first few days of spring, the newness in our environment culminates into one thing - that gentle nudge of inspiration. Spring is a time of growth and rebirth, a time when our energy is ready to express, expand and move. Whether this is physical movement or increased creativity, spring is when ideas begin to blossom into fruition and the buzz of newness is permeable.

In honor of this season, we want to share with you our favorite Victoria locations.

  • 1. Beacon Hill Park
  • If you were to ask us what the heart of Victoria is, we would say Beacon Hill Park. Strolling through this location is truly a cacophony of visual and sensory experience. You will find yourself surrounded by oak trees, a carefully tended rose garden, vast grasslands and you may even be greeted by one of the park's residential peacocks. The mix of wildness and cultivated gardens is a beautiful reminder of the brilliance that happens when we work alongside nature.

    2. Fan Tan Alley

Victoria’s Chinatown is the second oldest Chinatown in North America. Stepping into Chinatown is comparable to being transported into a world where the scene is unlike anything else in the city. There are treasures abound here, old and new and an incredible architectural feat called Fan Tan Alley, named after the Chinese gambling game Fan-Tan. Prepare to be amazed at how a small gap between two buildings can seem to transport you into the old world. Chinatown also is home to fantastic eats, exotic finds, and unique experiences everywhere you turn.

    3. Royal Roads

Walking through the grounds of Royal Roads University campus is uniquely special. Here you will experience a roaring waterfall, a tranquil Zen tea house, some of the oldest growth trees in the city and grassy lawns that carry all the way down to the ocean. It’s not surprising that this location has become a hot spot for movie settings such as The Changeling, Deadpool, and the X-Men series.

    4. Migration Boutique

This downtown boutique features art, jewelry, and fashion from over 65 local west coast designers including our own. Migration offers a wealth of truly unique pieces of wearable art and showcases the array of local talent found in Victoria. Everything in this boutique plays into the West Coast lifestyle that makes Victoria a truly special place to live.

    5. Dallas Road

A state of bliss and calm can emerge with finding a driftwood perch to sit on while listening to the waves roll in. Vibrant blue water, smooth polished rocks, and secluded little beach nooks are what culminate into our unique Victoria landscape. It could be the negative ions, or possibly the pull of the ocean itself; a hint of possibility lies on the shores here.

Thank you for viewing this peek into our corner of the world. It is here that we have discovered the influence behind many of our designs, from the lush natural landscape to the west coast beaches and lifestyle. We hope that you find inspiration wherever this spring carries you.
